Shall We Dance is a 1937 American film directed by Mark Sandrich. It stars Fred Astaire and Ginger Rogers as a ballet dancer and a musical star whose romance is complicated when a rumor spreads that they are secretly married.

- 2:12 a.m. Arthur Miller (Jerome Cowan) and Jeffrey Baird (Edward Everett Horton) are drunk after a party. They realize the steward has gone to bed, and Arthur asks how late it is. They look at a clock but are too drunk to read it. Arthur asks Jeffrey what his watch says, and putting his wristwatch to his ear, Jeffrey responds, "Says tick, tick, tick, tick, tick."
- 7:34 a.m. A clock shows the time as Arthur comes to greet Jeffrey but finds his bed empty.
