Mary Poppins is a 1964 American fantasy film directed by Robert Stevenson. It stars Julie Andrews as a magical nanny who helps two neglected children become closer to their father.

  • 7:59 a.m. Ellen (Hermione Baddeley) tells George Banks (David Tomlinson) tells that a queue of nannies has formed. He tells her to wait until 8:00 sharp to let them in. He looks at his pocketwatch and counts down the seconds as Ellen and his wife Winifred (Glynis Johns) hurry to their posts.
  • 3:21 p.m. Mary Poppins (Julie Andrews) ascends via umbrella.
  • 5:59 p.m.6:00 p.m. Ellen looks at a grandfather clock and yells for everyone to get ready, as Winifred and the maids hurry to their posts and hold the furniture in place. On a rooftop, Admiral Boom (Reginald Owen) looks at his pocketwatch and counts down before his first mate Mr. Binnacle (Don Barclay) fires a cannon. George Banks arrives home and sings "The Life I Lead".
