Five Minutes to Live is a 1961 American crime film directed by Bill Karn. It tells the story of two criminals who rob a bank by taking threatening kill an executive's wife.

  • 7:34 a.m. Johnny Cabot (Johnny Cash) and Fred Dorella (Vic Tayback) sit in a parked car. By checking his wristwatch, Fred is able to identify Nancy Wilson (Cay Forrester) without looking at her based on her routine.
  • 7:50 a.m. Ken Wilson (Donald Woods) says goodbye to Nancy as he leaves for work. He says he should hurry since it's ten of eight.
  • 8:11 a.m. Cabot and Fred sit in the car. Fred notes that someone is running two minutes late today, and the two discuss daily routines.
  • 8:41 a.m. Cabot holds Mrs. Wilson at gunpoint. A clock shows the time.
  • 8:50 a.m. Nancy looks at the clock.
  • 11:20 a.m. Fred tells Cabot talk over the phone. Fred reads the time off his wristwatch and says he'll call back in five minutes.
  • 11:23 a.m. Fred waits with Mr. Wilson at the bank. They watch a Bulova wall clock.
  • 11:24 a.m.11:25 a.m. At the Wilsons' home, Cabot checks his Wittnauer watch and tells Mrs. Wilson she has 40 seconds to live. At the bank, Fred looks at his own Wittnauer watch and counts down with Mr. Wilson. Cabot tells Mrs. Wilson she's out of time.
  • 11:28 a.m.11:29 a.m. After looking at a Bulova wall clock Mr. Wilson assists Fred in escaping a bank heist, but when Fred grapples with a man he is knocked unconscious. As Fred escapes, Mr. Wilson kneels over the man, stares at his Vulcain watch, and chastises Pop (Howard Wright).
  • 11:32 a.m. Cabot's watch displays the time.
